Hello all! Hope all's well. Just a quick heads-up, this one - I'm very delighted and honoured to be hosting The Best of Short Cuts all this week at the Hen & Chickens Theatre. Short Cuts is a mini-festival of short plays based at the Hen & Chickens that's been running for a couple of years now, and is the brainchild of actress and writer extraordinaire Eliza Power. Every few months it showcases some of the best up-and-coming writers and actors, and this week it's time for some of the best-loved and most acclaimed shorts from its back catalogue to be unearthed and displayed again in all their glory.
I met the team behind Short Cuts last year and was lucky enough to end up hosting one night of its most recent run, and am very pleased to be back for the whole week this time to introduce and MC three of its greatest hits. We have sci-fi rom-com Another Girl by Eliza Power, murder mystery A is for Arsenic by Lexy Howe and bonkers comedy The Little Wula by The Grandees. After the opening night of the festival tonight, I'm really pleased to be involved in a show with such talented and brilliant people, and look forward to more fun as the week unfolds. Make sure you book your tickets as soon as possible and be sure to catch a night of theatre, comedy and general silliness and fun. More details can be found on the Facebook event here. Hope to see you all there!
