The Alternative, the Mainstream and the Midlands

I was asked to write a blog piece about something "interesting" to help promote my upcoming appearance in Leicester performing Awkward Prophet at Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival. I decided to write a piece exploring my annual Christmas dinnertime dilemma as to whether or not to lecture my extended family about "alternative" comedy, and my subsequent thoughts on the issue of the place mainstream and alternative comedy hold in and out of London. Hopefully a few people will find it an interesting read, and if you were undecided about coming along to one of the show's performances in the coming weeks and this sways you in favour, then so much the better! The article is featured on the British Comedy Guide and can be read here.
