Three bits of news:
The First Bit Of News - Just a little update on this year's Edinburgh show. As you might have seen me post here the other day, it's now official that Awkward Prophet will be playing at the Underbelly's Daisy space for this year's Fringe, in association with promoters Live Nation, which is jolly exciting. So, on with the previews - I've just got back from doing a lovely preview at the Rose Tavern in Norwich, the spiritual home of the career of many a stand-up, including myself, John Kearns and Pat Cahill. Upcoming previews include the following, probably with more to be confirmed:
Thursday 3rd April - The Lion, Stoke Newington, as part of the next Joz Norris & Friends Present... night.
Friday 11th April - The Arts Centre, Salisbury, as part of Theatre Fest West. More details here.
Wednesday 23rd April - The Actors Centre, Covent Garden. Details coming soon.
Sunday 27th April - The Rose & Crown, Trowbridge. Details coming soon.
Friday 4th July - The Harrison, King's Cross, as part of The Schadenfreude Cabaret's preview season. Details coming soon.
Tuesday 15th July - The Lion, Stoke Newington. Double bill with Henry Von Stifle. Details coming soon.
The Second Bit of News - This week I spent a lovely few hours on Hampstead Heath filming a new short series of comedy sketches for the brilliant Turtle Canyon Comedy, written by the equally brilliant Gerry Howell and also stars Holly Burn and Anna Morris. You'll be able to see me playing a mugger and a boring man at a party among others, so watch this space for more information on when the series is available to watch.
The Third Bit of News - Early days on this one, as we won't be filming it until September, but apparently I'm going to be presenting a documentary feature about hill forts and henges. I know nothing about either, but I've got plenty of time to do my homework. As ever, more information as and when it arises.
