As next week involves a lot of big gigs I've already done a lot of promo for (mine and Karl's benefit at the Bloomsbury and the Weirdos panto), I'd like to give a quick shoutout for a couple of exciting gigs this week that I haven't mentioned yet.
Tomorrow I'm excited to be part of the one-off event ManBuyCow and Friends: Alive on Stage. For the last three years, Rufus and Howard of ManBuyCow have run one of the friendliest and loveliest open mic nights around at the Freedom Fridge and it's been my pleasure to be one of their regular MCs. They also have the funniest, most inventive and imaginative comedy podcast around, and tomorrow, for one night only, they're staging a night of live comedy to showcase some of the characters and sketches from the podcast, including a "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" style reading of a brand new adventure for famed detective Grett Binchleaf, plus special guests Bec Hill, Pete Dillon-Trenchard and yours truly. You can head on over to the ManBuyCow house to find out more about the podcast and the night.
And on Wednesday 10th December myself and Marny Godden will be reprising our roles of Daryl Hall & John Oates for Quint Fontana's Karaoke Pop Pals, a night in which washed up hack and 80s popstar Quint Fontana wheels out some of his celebrity music pals to sing and chat with him. Also featuring Jayde Adams as Adele, Lindsay Sharman as David Bowie, Paul Dance as Rick Astley and many more. You can find out more about it here.
