Weirdos Panto - Thank You!
Just a little thank you to everyone who came to see the Weirdos Panto last week, and also to everybody who did anything at all to support it and help it to be such a huge success - to Adam Larter for writing and starring and making all the props, to Matthew Highton for directing, to Bob Slayer for providing us with such an amazing venue, to Luke Chaproniere for doing the tech, to Ben Williams (among others) for giving us so much support in the press and the media and helping it to sell out, to all the amazing Weirdos for being so funny and so creative and so great, and many more too numerous to mention. The show sold out every single night, totalling over 500 tickets sold and raising around £5500 for Great Ormond Street, the biggest success we've ever had with our annual pantos. Roll on 2016's next helping of silliness!
As for the venue, the pop-up Heroes Grotto of Comedy, it continues to host more nights of amazing comedy over the coming week, so if you didn't manage to make it to Weirdos (or even if you did), there's plenty more fun to be had. Tonight I'll be helping Bob with a behind-the-scenes ghost tour of the venue, and next Sunday I'll performing at the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society. Elsewhere in the week, there's Laugh Out London's big comedy weekend for Shelter, featuring the likes of Stewart Lee, Harry Hill, Isy Suttie and Spencer Jones, there's Nick Helm's Christmas Fuck-Fest and there's festive editions of Ellis & Rose's Brainwash Club featuring Tony Law, and of This Is Your Trial featuring Josie Long. All of them highly recommended. Do head on down there for another week of great comedy.
