Soho Theatre's Comedy Project
Delighted to announce that mine and Charlie Dinkin's sitcom Deathbed has been selected as part of the 2016 programme for the Soho Theatre's Comedy Project, a season of performances of new scripted comedy work including sitcom readings, work-in-progress stand-up shows, short film scripts and many more, all then given feedback by a panel of industry judges. Deathbed will be given a rehearsed reading on the 6th June, and I'll post further details and ticket links as and when they emerge - do put the date in the diary if you'd like to see it! The script is loosely based on the last few weeks of my grandad's life and I'm really proud of it. Charlie and I will be continuing to work on the script in the coming weeks and you'll get to see some sort of version ready for public performance in June, although I'm sure its continued development will see it continue to change. I've been to the Comedy Project in previous years though and it's always a really fascinating way to see the development of scripted comedy work. Do come along!
