The Christmas season is rolling in, and as such, the festive comedy institution that is the Weirdos Christmas Panto is beginning to take shape. We've had our first rehearsals and have produced from them some rather snazzy promo shots, one of which is below (taken by Mr Matthew Highton). As ever, there are lots of gloriously silly surprises in store in the show so I won't spoil very much, except that, as the title suggests, it's about a big festive wedding, an evil plot to stop it, and a campaign to become Mayor of Christmas. It's written by Adam Larter, directed by Matthew Highton, Assistant Directed by Gareth Morinan, and will be on at the Leicester Square Theatre from the 7th-9th December. All proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Hospital, and you can find more details here including how to book tickets. Book quickly, it's already selling fast!
The cast includes the usual parade of silly idiots, plus lots of brilliant new Weirdos, and all together includes (deep breath) Adam Larter, Lucy Pearman, Beth Vyse, William Lee, Matt Tedford, Tom Meek, Cassie Atkinson, Marny Godden, Michael Brunstrom, myself, Ben Target, Katia Kvinge, Mark Stephenson, Eleanor Morton, Jon Brittain, Harriet Kemsley, Joe Davies, Sooz Kempner, Mario D'Agostino, Charlie Miller, Andy Barr, Alwin Solanky, Kat Bond, Phil Jarvis, Helen Duff, Rousha Browning, Matthew Highton, Lottie Bowater, Tash Goldstone, Neil Kite and, finally granted a speaking role this year, Bob Slayer.
