This isn't a project I'm directly involved with, but I still want to give it a little shout-out here. As I mentioned here, last week myself and Jon Brittain hosted a mini-fundraiser comedy night in character as Trump and Clinton, the purpose of which was to raise money to cover the costs of a much bigger and more important fundraiser that Jon is curating in Norwich in a week or so. A few years ago, Tristan Cass, a theatre technician from Norwich and a close friend of Jon's and many other good friends of mine, lost his battle with mental health and passed away. On the 7th November a bunch of his favourite comics (and some of the best comics in the country, furthermore), as well as some of his favourite singers, theatre-makers, writers, cabaret performers and many more, will be performing a huge benefit at Norwich Theatre Royal in memory of him, and it will all raise money for Norwich Mind. It's an incredibly good cause, an incredibly important event in tribute to an amazing person, and an incredibly good line-up. It features John Kearns, Tom Allen, Suzi Ruffell, Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho, Pat Cahill, Molly Naylor, Shey Hargreaves, Alma Fournier-Carballo, Gillian Dean and Sound Ideas Theatre Company. If you live in or near Norwich, please do go to this, it's going to be an amazing event. Details and tickets here.
