Mark Watson's Festival Of Bad Ideas

July 20, 2017

Just a quick plug for another daft project I'm very tangentially involved with this Fringe. The amazing Mark Watson is curating something very exciting called the Festival Of Bad Ideas at the Pleasance, in which a rotating cast of different comedians presents a full, hour-long bad idea every night. The show is playing from the 15th to the 27th August at the Pleasance Courtyard at 22:45 and you can find more details here. On the 19th, John-Luke Roberts will be attempting the first ever live adaptation of Francis Fukuyama's The End Of History And The Last Man, with each chapter loosely interpreted by different performers. I'll be one of those performers helping to find meaning in the work, but I won't give away any more about who else is involved or how the thing might be coming together, you'll just have to buy a ticket on the 19th and come and see. It's a great idea for a show as well, so do go see it on other dates too to see what other nonsense people are working on. Thom Tuck is singing songs by the Mountain Goats on one night, I think.
