A regular night that Miranda Holms and I run in the Main House of the Pleasance Theatre in Islington that screens short films and stages live readings of new scripts from the scripted comedy community. We often use it as a deadline and a showcase for our own work-in-progress projects, but more significantly, we’re so proud of how this night has become a community and a hub for so many people’s amazing work, and we hope that it’s injected a little more optimism into the world of scripted as things feel very uncertain and in flux. We’ve shown films by the likes of Lola-Rose Maxwell, Jack Barry, Hayley Morris, Florence Poppy Deary, Kyle Jon Shepherd and many more, and staged readings of scripts by Nat Luurtsema, Cody Dahler, Christian Brighty & Amy Greaves, Luke Rollason & Saima Ferdows and many more.
