A show I took to a few festivals in 2024 after originating as part of Impatient Productions’ online Access Festival. It was an attempt to explore non-linear forms of storytelling and show-making, combining short stories which could be told in any order the audience chose with absurdist stunts which could combine any materials and actions the audience chose to result in an experience that sporadically flirted with meaning or truth before disappearing down another nonsensical rabbit-hole. I really loved elements of this show and it received some lovely word-of-mouth reactions from audiences, but I ultimately struggled to find the engine at the heart of it that made it feel like a real show as opposed to a collection of disparate parts. It was eventually shelved in favour of You Wait. Time Passes, but I’m really proud of what I achieved with it during its lifespan.
