The Happiness Chain Screening at Eggbox
THE HAPPINESS CHAIN is receiving its first ever public screening at Eggbox at the Pleasance on the 1st of July!
We made this as a result of a crowdfunder at the end of last year, and I was bowled over by everyone’s generosity in supporting it – thank you all so much. It’s a slightly abridged version of a sitcom pilot script I wrote a couple of years back that everyone kept saying they’d love to see, so I thought I’d make it so that they could. (Lol, joke’s on you guys, I called your bluff!)
It’s a comedy about friendship, failure, contentment, disaster and the pursuit of happiness. It was written by me, directed by the incredible Ben Kent and stars the phenomenal Kathy Maniura, Huge Davies, Rosalie Minnitt, Phil Ellis and Donna Preston.
At the moment, we’re having all sorts of conversations about what the future of this project might be, so for the time being this is the ONLY public screening we have planned, because it all depends on how those conversations go.
So basically, if you’d like to see it in the near future, book your ticket to Eggbox on the 1st of July! We’re also screening and staging amazing work from writers and filmmakers and tickets are really starting to sell, so I’d recommend booking ahead as these shows tend to sell out.
