Fringe Portraits by Oliver Holms
The first of a few posts to sing the praises of photographer extraordinaire Oliver Holms.
From the minute I started working on a show about time-wasting, waiting and letting your life drift by, Miranda Holms started conjuring some portrait concepts for the show that we spent the best part of a year discussing and shaping in our minds.
I couldn’t have asked for someone better equipped to make those ideas a reality than Ollie, who took so many beautiful photos that it’s impossible to condense them into one social media post, so I’ll share others as we get closer to Edinburgh.
You Wait. Time Passes. is a show about sitting around, dreaming, hoping, despairing, failing and trying again and I was always very keen to avoid promoting it via a bunch of generic press shots, but instead to do it with a series of portraits that told a story. I’m so thrilled with these, and also very grateful to F. Cooke Pie & Mash in Hoxton for letting us take pictures in their beautiful shop.
Tickets to upcoming preview dates and the show’s Fringe run are available here.
