It may claim that I’ve spent “decades on the fringes of leftfield comedy, far away from the trappings of fame and glory” (a scurrilous lie, I’ve spent 15 years there tops), but I’m still pleased as can be with this lovely review from the Guardian’s Brian Logan of You Wait. Time Passes. I was so blown away by the critical reaction to the show last year, and the one thing I still partly hoped for in my heart was that one of “the big dogs” might come down and give it the nod too.

“It’s a show exploring the choice to make extravagantly silly art that is itself extravagantly silly…the controlling/collapsing manner of a latter-day Rik Mayall…its extreme dottiness backed up by good jokes, twisty philosophy and a highly energetic performance at its core constitute a curiously rousing defence of experimental art-making in a conformist, capitalist world.”

Pretty happy with that. Thank you to everyone who made this show the huge success it’s been!
