I really enjoyed writing this feature for Authority Magazine on 5 things I wish I’d known when I started my career as a comedian – it was really interesting raking over my years in this business (or “decades spent on the fringes of leftfield comedy, far away from the trappings of fame,” as the Guardian would have it), and trying to work out some key lessons that my younger self could’ve benefited from if he’d heard them sooner. But then maybe the long way round works because it’s the long way round, who knows? Either way, I hope other young comics find some nuggets of wisdom within all of this, and thanks so much to them for interviewing me for it!
